Now Little T has been struck down by the vomiting bug. She wasn't too impressed at all, but managed to limit damage to the soft furnishings (unlike her brother).

Unfortunately, Mrs K/C/KC has also succumbed to the vomiting bug.

Luckily I had Doctor Little T on hand to help with both of the patients.

You know you're a parent when.......

..you have to purchase a carpet cleaner to remove the stubborn odour of vomit from your 1 yr olds bedroom.

After 14 mths, Little O was quite distraught to experience retrograde digestion for the first time (he looked particularly horrified when part digested yoghurt came out of his nose !!).

Comment spam

No, not a dialogue about processed meat products, but a newly discovered problem with our blog of late.

I have noticed that from time to time am receiving fake comments (similar to emails inviting me to enlarge my Pen15 etc !!!)

As a result, I have now had to enable word verification which means that commentors need to type in the word displayed before comment is used.

Many apologies for this, but please do keep commenting !!!!!!

• Itentacle - things that look much the same (with or without suckers)

• Sky scratchers - really tall buildings

• Shennanigans - those little green monsters that come if you are misbehaving (ok, ok... we might have encouraged this myth ourselves)

• Midhusbands - those men married to midwives

Finally got a chance (nice weather for a change) to put together the bike that Little T had won at the summer fete (click here for details). We did not really know what size bike it was until today.

Unfortunately Little T will likely have to wait for a few yrs (or grow about 10 inches in the near future) before using it.

Santa may be called upon for an interim measure !!!

Little T, myself and Mrs K/C/KC were having a nice conversation about jobs and in particular prospective medical students that Mrs K/C/KC was interviewing today.

Amongst the discussion was this nugget :

Daddy : Why do you think someone would want to be a doctor ?

Little T : For the money !

Busy weekend

2 days packed with fun. We had the pleasure of Little R for a sleepover, which Little T was overjoyed with. Little R, it turns out, is a source of wonderful information, just like her friend. We learnt all about puny-versity, where one goes to study 'puting.

Little T also spent a considerable time trying to convince me of exactly why ice cream is so good for you if you have a fever (and some of it even made medical sense !!).

On top of this adventure, we also had sunday lunch with friends we haven't seen for some time (since their wedding 2 yrs ago, in fact) and met their beautiful 7 month old boy.

Firework fun

Little T was very excited to go to the large firework display on the 5th. However, due to a combination of torrential rain and deafening explosions, opted for an early exit from the park. However, we did manage to find some (quieter) shelter a little further away and held out until the end of the show.

The next night she had more fun with a sparkler...
